« So far so good, but it’s never easy • Main • Crunch time » December 27, 2005Jackie Chan will take care of my 167!I hope everyone is having awesome holidays! I haven’t had any time off but the weekend was great. Even remaining at 167 hasn’t put a damper on things. (I had a feeling my eating over the weekend would negate the seemingly 2 pound loss of mid-week.) I’m not worried because Jackie Chan has come to my rescue! Just until this Christmas I had been super pissed about my husband’s obsession with obscure (and often foreign) video games. I could not have predicted that my interest in fitness and his obsession with these video games would someday come together and form a perfect marriage. One that would unite my husband an I in a common bond and promote a life time of fitness together :-). Behold Jackie Chan Studio Fitness my husband got me as a Christmas present! The website doesn’t offer a lot of information yet but basically it’s a fitness video game system. I have boxing gloves for a bunch of games that offer a wide range of upper body exercises and the floor mat with weights for the aerobic workouts. The mat games vary from fighting ninjas to dancing. It’s excellent. We just got it today and have burned about 500 calories, each, just trying out all the different games. We’ve saved our profiles and it will keep track of calories, steps, and our fitness progress. I’m so happy that this is something we can do together and it’s so much fun you really forget you’re exercising. I’m going to try and get better at charting my progress here and hope to incorporate some of the data from the game. I’ve been doing well continuing to workout at lunch too. I might still be high from my workout but I feel really optimistic about breaking this plateau and beginning to lose again. Posted by hopeful @ December 27, 2005 11:38 PM |
