Advice from the "Old Country"

I have a stress headache. Stress runs through my veins in place of the blood that I’m sure I was originally born with. I had the transfusion around the age of five or so, that’s as far back as I can remember. So why am I having a headache today? I’m not any more tired than I usually am and my life circumstance doesn’t suck any worse.

I’m a tad bitter (and a bit buzzed, I’ll discuss that in a few) but all that isn’t the point. I rarely get headaches, and when I do, I always think back to what my Italian grandmother once said to me. “You’re hungry.” That’s what she always insisted whenever my head ached, even slightly. That was actually her solution to any number, if not every problem, but I really believed her regarding the headaches. Hmm… that’s telling to my current fat status, no?

So now whenever my head hurts I really do get hungry. As in a tribute to Pavlov’s dog, I salivate. So tonight I decided to quell my ache, not to mention sorrows, with Corona and lime! Now I’m havin’ a blast. I feel much better. I do not condone this, dieters! It is, by no means, the lower calorie option. I just thought I’d see if I could break a habit, start a new tradition, if you will.
